Classes and inspiration

I've gone from too much time on my hand to no time due to two online classes (actually3) It's amazing how much time it can take to set up blogs, web pages, etc. Where is my art time? I guess I need to put myself on a schedule. Oh my!

Brene Brown read along

I'm looking forward to reading along on the author's blog!

I've started two new online classes to work on establishing myself in selling my art.
Flying lessons and re-connect. I hope that they will give me inspiration and knowledge to move beyond my boundaries.
The weather is cooling here in Maryland. I believe it's time for a trip to the warmth of Florida soon.
I am working on a new painting over an old painting inside a frame I don't love. It is a decorative, golden frame with gold flowers painted on the outer edge of the glass. Initially, I felt it would be easy to incorporate a new painting into this themed frame. I was very wrong! I'm on my 3rd repaint of my 2nd painting, if that makes sense. Nothing looks like it belongs in this frame. Now I have resorted to painting color into the golden flowers with glass paint. I hope to give it more of a tropical feel rather than a stuffy, outdated feel. I may just continue to paint onto the glass rather than add a separate painting to it.
More later...

Another new home!

It's been a while. I'm now starting a new life just outside of Annapolis, Maryland. I love my new home! It sits off the Magothy River and my studio offers a wonderful water view where boats meander by all day long. There's a pier and a small beach in the community. So much inspiration all around.
We are currently updating out condo. New bathrooms, paint, kitchen counters and a spa room complete with sauna.
There is close to 3000 square ft to decorate. I'm am purchasing recycled frames and making the paintings my own by either painting over them entirely or adding to them. It's a great process. The walls are filling quickly. My inspiration is Suziblu. I am taking two classes from her online. I love the light, caring atmosphere she brings to the class.

Looking Forward

While starting a new life in California I find myself looking for new inspiration and direction. I'm excited about the wonder that lies ahead!
